Unfortunately they are all in cahoots yet again and I can’t help but feel that we are about to be lockdowned again.
I know we had our differences over Brexit but it’s odd how many of the same people who said it would steal our young people’s future are now more than happy to steal their future under the guise of Covid.

Self employed. Literally fuck all. £0

Exactly pal but to rub salt in the wounds, politicians then have the fucking gall to try and say it’s Joe Public that has to protect the NHS?

Ridiculous!

They also say that Richie Sunak has being paying out money to keep people in work. I know his family could probably afford to but it’s actually the British taxpayer, not the chancellor.

Really? The NHS isn't free. Most (though sadly not all taking out) have put in through NI contributions through their working life. That entitles them to use the NHS they have paid for. Contrary to their mistaken beliefs re jabs.

Alot of treatments aren't available on the NHS including certain cancer drugs. This list is vast actually. People have had the chance to get their covid treatment via a vaccine so why should people who haven't had this be entitled to extra treatment due to stupidity?

Companies are going to be paying out a shit load of sick pay for the foreseeable.

Everytime you feel you've got a bit of a cold or flu, you'll be taking an antigen or Lateral flow test and potentially having to self isolate for 10 days. There will be a load of people that under pre covid circumstances would have a day or two off and only when the cold or flu was enough to make them consider a day or two in bed might be a good thing. Many work regardless and push through. Not to mention those that can't afford to be off due to lack of sick pay.

Is that sustainable for companies where the bulk of their work can't be done at home.
If I don't go to work my company gives me nothing.
So unless I feel like shit I have to work

We did have our differences mate and fuck me, I should have listened a bit more because this lot we have in charge couldn’t run a piss up in a brewery but eh, that’s for a different thread.

We have toddlers who have grown up seeing fellow humans in masks almost all the time. We have kids whose schooling is being massively disrupted. We have a workforce whose livelihoods are being fucked over because we are forcing their employers to close their doors or adopt the way they work. We have people who can’t get a GP appointment and possibly then will die of a disease that might have been treatable had we not reacted in the way we did. I could go on and on but to take the biscuit, it’s now for me and you and everyone else to protect the NHS, to do our duty……not our leaders, the fuckers who take our money and then squander it whilst running our public services down like the NHS and social care, no, it’s for me and you to do.

Joke!

I don’t work, I get fuck all as £19 a day is basically fuck all. Millions will be like me so telling me I have to isolate for 10 days is all good and well but when they then say, btw, we ain’t paying you I think I know what many are going to say and do…
Exactly and understandable. But I imagine you be labelled inconsiderate going to earn a living with a runny nose despite maybe not really having a choice.
I cant help but feel that dropping all restrictions socially was a mistake.

Still the health secretary said, only yesterday, that there were 200,000 Omicron cases and it was doubling every day. The good news is that we will know for definite 2 or 3 days before Christmas.
The bad news is, by New Years Eve there will be 26 billion new cases so everyone will need to catch COVID over 370 times or once every 4 minutes!
