Ha, couldn’t make it up.

I‘d had a couple of sneezes and ever so slightly snotty, both kids have had a cold so assumed it was that, feel right as rain and strong as an ox.

Know I’m due to see my mum and in-laws this week so to shut the missus up I thought I’d best do a test, 100% confident I don’t have omicron.

Yep, you guessed it, positive.

Ah well, c’est la vie.
I’m sure you’ll be fine mate but a ballache with Xmas round the corner. Have you tested positive for Covid previously?

Edit: Just saw your other post and you have.

45 all settings deaths

82,886 cases.

It is Sunday (numbers often low) but down again even with Wales posting big numbers today.

So England is well down.

I think a lot of people are maybe not testing too for fear of spoiling Christmas.

The second biggest testing day in history and 60% more than 5 days ago suggests that it’s not down to people not testing, which is good news.

And also, plenty of people who are positive who aren’t even bothering with a test of any form, even lateral flow. I was convinced mine would be negative and only did the lateral flow as due to see my mum in the next couple of days. If plenty of people just think they’ve got a mild cold then they aren’t going to feel the need to test.

Absolutely but with more tests than ever before, the numbers are still nowhere near the worst doomsday scenarios we got told we would be at by now.

Huge positives
Absolutely. Everyone else in my house still testing negative too so it can’t be that bad.

Which is a scary thought (your last sentence)

There will still be plenty of people positive who aren’t getting a pcr, me for one.
Have you reported your LFT?
That being said, this is the first disease in history that we do a test on people who have absolutely no symptoms and then, as a result of that test, tell them they’re I’ll and make them stay at home.
It’s a life insurance companies wet dream!
