The two specific things you've asked about, pubs and holidays, just to comment... Devi Sridhar has been very clear in separating holiday's from a long list of other 'normal' things. I know she's only an advisor, so the buck won't lie with her, but her opinion is one which I agree with despite how much I love 'normal' family holiday's. But she says that should be the absolute last thing to return to normal, she advocates much more for schools, pubs, sport, shops, and travel within your own country until such time this is under control globally. I think its because of the risk of importing new strains and the potential damage that could cause.
Frankly I absolutely love holidays but can completely go along with what she's saying. If everything in life was normal EXCEPT from being able to go abroad on holiday for a year or 2, I could happily live with that.
