What about the poster who had 6 overseas holidays this Summer?

Erm, it was between July and December, not just over last summer ;)

The travel corridor roulette made it difficult, so mostly just stuck to quick weekends away in between the weekly Gov decisions.

Sadly can't see anything happening abroad before May at the moment :( maybe even longer.

No I’m not unfortunately.
Certainly on the mend slightly but otherwise physically useless. Managed a five min balcony walk and was out of breath. Showered die the first time in a week (didn’t need to and felt like too much of a struggle).
Washed all my ‘ill clothes’ & bedding in the hope that would make me feel better.
Still feel it in my lungs but yep...that lethargy is incredible.
Depression kicked in now. I’m someone who has absolutely has to get out & about daily on a big walk or run. I’ve been isolated for two weeks now & physically no chance of doing that (shortness of breath & extreme tiredness).

Not sure what else I can do to exorcise the bastard from within...
Shit mate, that's horrendous, wish you all the best, hopefully you start improving and at least you'll have immediate immunity from this bloody thing, for this that think it's just the "flu" ffs, it's a life wrecker, good luck.

For what it is worth it the acute chest problems do go away eventually ,took about nine months and now i have asthma but it is different for everyone , you are usually fit so you have a better chance getting it over quicker than me , although my lungs were perfect before . Stop trying to rush it away , just reat and potter about , take vitamins and inhlalers will help, if you are not on one then ask your dr about them , they can really help

I have a question to anyone who has had a home test on an in person test (the full ones that take a day or 2 for a result) - did your negative result say this

"Your coronavirus test result is negative. It’s likely you did not have the virus when the test was done."

I've put "likely" in bold, as it is different than the test result i had in December (and August) which said

"Your coronavirus test result is negative. You did not have the virus when the test was done"

So i'm just trying to check have they official changed their wording this year to "likely" rather than a definite "you did not", to maybe cover themselves...? Or, was there something in my test that could have made them not totally sure?

I was quite unwell for a week with a fever, sore throat, diarreah at the start too (monday, did the test wednesday), and complete exhaustion and dizzyness. Feeling mostly better now, but trying to judge.. I doubt it was that, as i feel i'd be more ill if it was, but it was a scary feeling, looking at my 4 year old worried i could die, i felt that ill on one of the days in particular. I had the flu jab in October btw.

Anyone with January tests out there? Thank you.

Yeah, my partner has had it but I didn't.
The studies into why this happens will be fascinating but an article on BBC news this morning said, again, the scientists are looking at blood. Some people's immune systems go into overdrive yet others don't. Weird.
Very early on in the pandemic I remember reading a paper that said it seems that a particular blood group is more immune than others, that blood group being O.
