Had a mate come out of hospital he 46 not healthy at all but classed as healthy weight

he said it’s mainly fat blokes in hospital at the moment from what he saw

Perfect opportunity to pump loads into healthy school meals, classes for kids on what's healthy to eat and so forth.

Not only for Covid but for other health problems as well.

Could you imagine how much money this country would save in the long run if we taught kids how to eat healthier and provided the means of doing so?

That’s it I’m done with this thread. I’ve mainly been checking in to see Healdplace’s excellent objective input but the number of doom mongering wankers like you, Blue Matt, Marvin and Splinter means I’m out.

Absolute clowns the lot of you.
 
Over 8 000 cases in Israel yesterday. Israel has now started giving third shots to those over 30 and is already seeing a decline in infection in the oldest groups who were given third shots in July.

The UK has big problems ahead unless we either re-vaccinate with a 3rd dose or develop a new vaccine. The alternative is vaccinating children or back to restrictions through Winter.

I only post information from Israel as I see it as the forerunner for European countries. Of course, we all have political and social differences and preferences, but I think it would be folly to overplay those and ignore what is happening there.

Israel presumably started offering a third shot because it couldn’t wait for a ‘new’ vaccine that targeted those variants that originated after its original programme had begun. Can the U.K. wait?

Israel doesn’t vaccinate those under twelve but recently ran serological tests on 55,000 children, mostly in the Haredi community, and found 17% had antibodies.

could be a very difficult winter with the delta ..need to get boosters in the arms of the over 60s asap

Very much. It's not just on here either. Everywhere seems full of people who seem to be reveling in the doom and gloom of it all. They come across as actively wishing us all back in a full lockdown ... seemingly forever.
Hoping for some monstrous mutation of it, to bring about virtual apocalypse, simply so they can smugly say 'told yer so'.

it’s unbelievable. The thread was a place of facts and support and it has become a place where people seem to want to search the internet to find dome doom and gloom story and post it on here and get off on it.

they predicted when we unlocked cases would be as high as 100k it has not happened.
we always knew that vaccine efficacy would drop and boosters may be needed and indeed have been planning for it , yet today’s news is somehow a new thing for people on here. It was expected. It’s not a new thing.

my son went to his pals last night and hung out with his mates and slept over . Me and my wife went to the local for a couple of beers and then a restaurant for a meal . All very nice.

some of you need to log off and start living your life, it’s actually quite nice.
