When I had it in October 2020 I had a Diet Coke, tasted of cigarette ash, very weird, stuck my hooter in a tangerine for several days to test my taste and smell, not very strong but after a couple of weeks back to normal apart from being knackered for around two months afterwards.

Sounds amazing! Hoping it is only a couple of weeks already noticed I'm not interested in food or drink. Take it you're completely back to how you was pre covid now?

Around 50% of the nation will catch Omicron over the next month, regardless of restrictions - it is simply too infectious.
Deaths will tgerefore rocket to at least 500 a day by the end of Jan, simply because so many people will have had it that around 1/3 of the daily deaths total will be from people who died within 28 days of testing positive even if it was incidental.
The Covid stats published for Omicron are rubbish to allow the public to come to any sort of conclusion about Omicron virulence.

Do these basic human rights curtail any freedom of the individual? Yes. So you can’t cite freedom at the same time as accepting restrictions. In reality you are just picking an arbitrary line in the sand that the vast majority of people reject.
No, they don't. Or we'd be in lockdowns as they'd be easy to implement.

Now this is a personal story and I doubt it will ever get reported in the media (not at this level anayway)

My wife is a social worker who works in adult care and yesterday she was in work (working from home). Out of the 4 people working she was the only one who didn't have COVID yep that's right they had all had PCR and tested positive. This was one team in Stockport and this pattern was very similar across the council. This was bad enough if not coupled with the fact that 23 care homes across Stockport were closed due to staff and/or patients with COVID.

For anyone who thinks that we should just let rip with this new variant, this is why we shouldn't. Unless of course you are happy to see deaths piling up because no matter what you do there are consequences to all this.

Omicron let rip in SA and deaths didn’t pile up. In fact they look like they’ve achieved herd immunity there, despite being 60% less vaccinated than us.

There is a major issue with people isolating who have it and that’s going to come to a head with a very tough decision on whether people who have the virus should quarantine.

Deaths will go up, as they would if suddenly everyone in the country got a bad dose of something between a common cold and a the flu, which Omicron is.

3 Jabs later and were still using language like "Let the bodies pile high?"
The bodies are mostly of the flat earthers who refuse the jabs. Dont get me wrong, I’d rather not have had mine but the downsides of being jabbed are not as bad as being dead so I went ahead and got them. I’m sure in the olden days, people used to call it a cold but now it’s mass hysteria.

Even then they’re coming down.

I understand why project fear was used last year before the vaccines, but some people have been really scared and scarred as a consequence and are now struggling with a return to normality.

So fucking true this, then we’ll get all the finger pointing about going football, visiting relatives etc to cause the guilt tripping.
it’s time we stopped reporting this 28 days bollocks which we shouldn’t be doing from the off and reporting deaths of,not with.

Just found out that a rabid anti-vaxxer we know has caught it. He had a hilarious meltdown on FB a few weeks ago, saying that if anyone didn’t agree with him that it’s all about control then they should unfriend him. So I did just that.
Anyway, he now has Covid and apparently he’s been rough as fuck with it - got the shits and throwing up. I’ve just spent the past half hour pissing my sides laughing at the news.
