Coronavirus (2022) thread

I’m with @The Light Was Yellow Sir @hgblue and others is saying what we have done to our kids the last few years will not go down well in our history.

Untold damage done to them as well as millions of others whose stories will come out as the numbers of cancer deaths emerge due to lockdowns and the impacts they had etc.

The number of deaths from other diseases such as cancer would have been significantly higher had we not locked down and limited contact so I’m not sure of your logic there.

I know some politicians tried to push that argument but it never made any sense, it was shot down very well in a recent parliamentary committee though.

If it wasn’t I think you should make your point better then, maybe use words not pictures.
Did you not notice the only people wearing them in those pictures? We’ve told them they’re ‘viral vectors’, ‘superspreaders’ and ‘granny killers’ and everyone thinks that’s perfectly normal. It’s staggering really.

Yeah, my wife is a governor of 3 schools, 2 primary and one secondary. They’ve all had issues, but nothing as bad as people are fearing on here.

The biggest shock to schools will be exam results this year after 2 years of their teachers being overly generous with gradings.
So, missing 2 years schooling is no big deal? Where does one begin with that pile? Having a week off to go on holiday is not allowed because they’ll fall back but having 18 months off is no big deal. Really?

Yes, really. You can be as outraged or sceptical as you want to be, but grown ups have been running schools.

Of course they aren’t where they would have been without Covid, but they haven‘t let kids go feral and have actually taught them stuff. They haven’t had 18 months off.

You're falling into the social media outrage of not being able to take your kids out of school for a week Willy nilly, but can for a deadly pandemic.

Who told them that ? As far as I know they were told wearing masks helps stop them spreading covid, same as the rest of us. Nobody accused me or anyone I know or any children they were granny killers. Only sataggering if you mis represent what children were told.
As I said earlier have you actually spoken to any children and asked them or are you just making assumptions that match your veiws.
