Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, as it often happens on Mondays due to hold overs from the weekend - England patients are up today by 171 to 9229.
Last Monday the rise was 224 to 10,273.
London actually falls today, The other regions are all up by small numbers only.
However, the North West has the biggest influx in patients today - its most in some time sadly.
Up by 126 to 1378 V last Monday up 25 to 1509.
Numbers usually fall across the rest of the week. Hopefully they will again but this is an unexpercted jump as North West cases were very low over the weekend. I am wondering if care homes are a factor as these are rising in Northern Ireland where the over 80s testing positive have been escalating daily as cases there fall.
Admissions (from Saturday - always 48 hrs behind) - fall below 900 - on 834 - lowest since 18 December soon after Omicron took off.
Ventilators - however - remain better news - down today 12 to 292 - lowest since mid summer last year.
For the first time in months all of the 7 England regions have less than 100 on them - London falling to 98 today.
North West again though bucks the trend and is up 2 to 38 - but also still the lowest here since before MidSummers day last year.
