Coronavirus (2022) thread

Very sad story today, a family friend.

Their daughter, mid 20s and refused to vaccinate during pregnancy due to the scaremongering.

Caught Covid and had to be put in a coma five weeks ago, they delivered the baby safely.

They brought her out of a coma but she never came back around.

Never even got to see or hold her baby.

Incredibly sad.

That’s devastating.

Why people won’t have these vaccines I don’t know. The cunts doing the scaremongering need a slap.

The great irony is that many pregnant women refuse the protection of the vaccination for fear that it may somehow harm their child, yet many then succumb to COVID and a perinatal death that leaves their child bereft of maternal protection when needed most. Horrible.

So sorry to hear this, that is just terrible, why take the risk, the anti vaxers should be ashamed.
 
For anyone who believes our cuddly government that the NHS is not overwhelmed. My 79 year old mum fell over and hurt her back badly last night. She eventually got to speak to a doctor who has said it’s either a broken back or slipped disc. She can’t move, is screaming in pain and has been sitting in bed waiting for an ambulance since midday.

This is just the most awful story, deepest condolences.

The entirely understandable desire of women to protect their unborn child from harm through vaccination has alas taken had a devastating toll on their and their babies' health in this pandemic.

We should have done much better as a society to help women of childbearing age understand the facts and how to best protect themselves and their children.

Nothing about the day 7 release if LFT negative and nothing about you don't need to isolate if fully vaccinated (which is what Govt guidance says).

And Whitty apparently suggesting that isolation might go on beyond 10 days if you're still testing positive.

For the record, what Whitty said was ambiguous but didn't mean self-isolating after 10 days even if testing positive (thiugh you could still be infective).
