Coronavirus (2022) thread

well the hospitalisation vs cases data doesn't reflect that. The NHS would cope far better if asymptomatic workers were not forced to isolate when they could be treating people.
Well that’s a different argument but then they’re spreading it to vulnerable patients which is another concern.

83% efficacy a booster jab gives you against Omicron, about a 40% increase from 2 jabs.

Why the fuck wouldn’t we be triple jabbing everyone as much as possible?

70% vs 88%. Because getting 2 jabs in people with 0 or 1 has bigger gains than putting a third in people who don't need it.

“A similar trend was seen for those who have had two doses of the Pfizer jab, with about 60% protection against Delta at 25 or more weeks since the second dose, and just under 40% protection against Omicron at the same time point – although, again, there are uncertainties around the figures.”

Rises to 83% with 3 jabs.

Again, why wouldn’t we jab as many as possible with 3 jabs???

so 6 months, not 3. Yet we're already talking about not needing number 4 "yet", with efficacy against being mildly ill (which is all the vast majority of normal people need protection from) at 30% after just 3 months, when for anything worthwhile we should be talking years, but we'll never know years because we'll be on jab 17 instead of 1 jab that does the trick.

Get to 4, get to 5, then see how many people still hold your view when they end up the same without it. There's a certain minority demographic who needs it, and public health policy for everyone is being handled with a one-size-fits all approach with no regard for long term public health, dependency and safety.

No we won’t have jab 17. These viruses have a lifespan before becoming normal illness and we’re already seeing it weakening itself as is Omicron.

We’ve hopefully got one last hurdle to get through and the best chance of clearing the hurdle is ensuring serious illness is mitigated and 3 jabs is the best way.

But you sit at home on your arse while doctors and nurses treat people because you want to be appear the smart arse on the internet.

If all unvaccinated people were removed from hospitals then nowhere would be at capacity. I’m not calling for that but anti vaxxers are still total and utter cunts.

there's already 9 booster slots on GP systems so are you so sure?

It's always "hopefully one last hurdle", well we hurdling it without most people needing any help. There's a tiny minority who do and we have the resources to help them if we apply effective policy.

unvaccinated people are a different story and everyone knows that is the real issue. Not normal people being jabbed to buggery.

Problem is too many doctors and nurses are sat on their arses because of arbitrary policy that just ends up killing people.
