me and the wife just had it after avoiding for 2 years.felt like shit for 3 days feel ok now
I am on day 6, still positive this morning but the line is a lot less clear than it was on day 1, so maybe negative tomorrow. Today is the first day when I have started to feel better, symptoms haven't been that bad compared to the reports from other on here. Would describe it as a bad cold with sinus issues and feeling tired all the time.

good to hear your feeling better

Anyway, thankfully all this is all but over now isnt it. For the vast majority
Have you seen the current stats in South Korea? And then look at their all time stats?

diddly squat (relatively) cases since it began, now at 400k cases per day, deaths also spiking.

it’s not over. It probably will never be over, the only thing that changes, is just how we react to the numbers.

Yeah it wont ever be over, youre right. But its time to live with it.
do you think korea are having spikes now because they didnt cop for it in the first place ? They are just having their spike at a different time to everyone else?

it is over in so much we have to move on. For MANY reasons. Financial, mental etc

Today's Zoe numbers not visibly slowing down and still rising more steeply than ever before.

Predicted cases today top 300K for the first time in Zoe's history. On 305,134 up from 294,404 yesterday and 221,162 last Sunday.

There are slight hints of the rise starting to tail off. Fingers crossed there will be meaningful drops next week. We must be getting fairly close to a peak.

Ongoing symptomatic cases are on 3,190,474 - up 126,904 in 24 hours. And up 766K in just a week - by some distance the biggest ever weekly rise in ongoing cases across the pandemic.

North West is unfortunately starting to rise quite a bit and up in 6th place - highest in some time and highest of the northern and midlands regions. Up 172 today and has been rising similar numbers for a few days now unfortunately.

Greater Manchester is still rising daily also.

Well I followed the lockdown rules for 2 years and guess where I am today?
In Hope Hospital, Salford Royal to some, with Corona and slight complications. C’est La vie!

The staff here cannot be faulted, they are looking after me so well. Being me! I can’t do things by half,I’ve got a bruise from under my left boob, right across under the right and half way round my back! :-) everyone keeps popping in, ‘is it ok if I have a look’ One doctor said I should charge them a fiver a viewing. *rofl*

It’s the pain that’s annoying me though, but I guess like football no pain without gain!
Keep smiling, keep cheering, keep the faith. :-)

How are you getting on EB?

If my latest blood tests come back with the potassium sorted I can go home. The blood clot on my muscle will, they say, sort itself out. I told them I can5 go home until after 5.00 when City is finished! Raised a laugh.
Thank you for asking. :-)

Usual Monday update.

Cases today for the three days of the weekend added together are (they are not released separately):-

UK 226,524 V 170,985 last week V 126,604 week before & 82,451 week before that

Given the sometimes missing non England cases some days hard to compare but the number is falling a bit as a percentage increase.

England only 188,925 V 163,954 last week V 95,324 the week before & 60,595 the week before that.

So cases here are clearly up much less week to week than either of the previous three day weeked totals. Though still rising.

1.662 million tests over this weekend V 1.642 million last weekend & 1.988 million the week before. So this is not the reason for the fall in the increase - seemingly, May well be topping out.
