Didn't souness say something similar the other day, if he tested positive he would keep it schtum.

It isn't a shock that an organisation such as the FA and the premier league who cheat, fiddle, fix, adjust outcomes of matches/seasons would do something as disgusting as hiding a positive covid test result just to get the ball rolling.

Fuck me they really must be skint and really really must be running out of pennies.

I'm out for good if this shit is true, horrible selfcentred ****s.

Are the premier league doing like Germany have done any player who has a positive test will be the only one being isolated? I guess they will because if the whole squad has to be isolated it would put more pressure on a null and void! Think Italy are putting the whole squad into isolating if one player gets a positive which is right!

ballino why worry some how it will get leaked. Just like those clubs in Italy, Spain and Germany. The problem will be if there are 2 or more clubs say 1 or 2 days before they are due to start. The clubs do a press release and say sorry, we can't play for 2 weeks due to players self isolating. I wonder what would happen then.

Six positive tests from three clubs so far.

I think this is a good thing, 6 players who presumably had no symptoms have been discovered as positive. The clubs and players should be named though, there is no reason for a premier league player to be testing positive after weeks in lockdown, not many of them share house holds with bus drivers or supermarket staff, unless they have family members in the NHS there is no excuse for them for them not to be taking every precaution possible when out and about or opening packages.

At least now we have a starting point, they will do it again over the next week and if the numbers to down then can proceed with the plan and if they go up then start looking at a means to end it.

This is a disgrace. I know several people who work in the 999 services. Putting their life’s at risk daily & they can only have a test if showing symptoms. Yet we have just tested 748 footballers! Wow

I can not be the only one seeing this as a complete fook you to emergency workers & general public

Are they going to be isolated , are the players they came into contact with going to be isolated ?
All the rules the government directed us to adhear to ripped up for football, great , is it ok for my mother in law to come out now ? Ok to stop stearing clear of other people in a park , we opening the football & basketball areas up now ? Can the little ones go to the play ares in the Park now ? No , we’ll why the fuck not if footballers can run around a field , are they special ?
Well done to Troy Deeney btw but the rest are pure shithouses in my book .

Disgraceful, my Mrs works in the nhs , she hasn’t seen our granddaughter in the flesh for 3 months , I tried to get her a test at the Etihad last week , I couldn’t as there were no available appointments

What was the number of people required to put on a game behind closed doors again? About 350 wasnt it? I'm guessing the 6 didnt have any symptoms so that means out of the 350 required to be in a ground, 3 are likely to be positive. Could be interesting then

m8 I feel for you. I have m8s in similar situations. My parent in hospital with Alzheimer’s & I can’t even see her.

I am disgusted with football right now & im not sure how much this will change my love for the game.

999 staff can’t get test but this will be weekly testing for footballers. That will be thousands of test over the coming weeks. Don’t hear journalist asking them type questions to the gov

Im presuming they will self isolate as they shouldnt have come into contact with the other players as yet
Come the next round of testing if a player is found positive and been around the training ground then maybe shut down the training ground
