Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

AFP reporting that there have been 25 positive Covid tests among players and staff at Ukrainian club Karpaty Lviv. The club says most are asymptomatic.

Think that Chelsea have proposed having 9 on the bench (instead of 7) from which 5 can be used (instead of 3), but as somebody else has said, it's just a proposal (at the moment) - tune in tomorrow for more crackpot PL ideas :)

IMO This isn't such a crazy idea if 5 subs are going to be used
Have to be long fuckin benches to get everyone social distancing
Fuckin farce!

Not sure what's worse: you went to watch United or the fact you got there 30mins before kick-off. Were you hoping to get some "free" autographs?

Hated every second mate but it was for a young kid a bit less fortunate than some he loved it ( he has seen the light since and is a SC holder at city ) so it was worth my pain and shame ;)

The Etithad is completely fenced all the way round as far as I know. So if they want to protest let them. All that is needed is to tell both clubs that the kick off will be early doors. So the kick off will really be at let's say 12.00hrs. But those who are interested in showing the game would let's say 15.00hrs.

Any way, aren't they more likely to protest up in Newcastle's at St. James's Park then at an away game. If from what I remember doesn't one side of the ground open up upon a main road. Thus making it easier to do any from of protest.

That is my point. No one has yet said who is going to do the protesting. If it is Geordies why would they ? If it is City fans, same answer. But that is the reason given for saying it has to be a neutral venue. It stinks.
