Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

well if you have 3 or 4 injuries in your squad you just have to put up your best available team, so won't be seen as any different. I wonder if certain clubs/agents will be registering more positive tests (that maybe end up "false positive") for their players when they're about to play certain clubs.

Catching a virus in a pandemic isnt really like getting an injury as a sprain ankle cant be passed on to your teams mates and family, whereas passing on the virus to your team mates or family could kill them , still the premier league must carry on regardless of life or death

Its no different than finding out that the bloke who stands at the front at Tesco has tested positve and suggesting that everybody who had been in that shop for a week should be contacted (how?) and everyone who had been in, as well as all the staff, everyone on the bus he uses and everyone who had been in all the shops he had have been in should be self isolating as well, which is clearly nonsense.

Not really, he breathes the virus out, other people breathe it in - whether they be on his bus, passing him on the way into tesco or whatever.

2m distancing is a bullshit arbitrary figure made up to placate. You can smell (i.e breathe in) a fart or cig smoke from far away, what's to say this 6-month old virus is any different?

As is often the case you are ranting without reading karen.

There is a difference between the daily tests, and the ONS survey tests. The ONS survey is a separate random sample of the population, nothing to do with tests for those that have symptoms daily, so the stuff about tests posted out and not returned has no impact here, pretty sure all the ONS tests are posted out, and the results are of those they get back, and their results suggest that infection rates (from random testing) is around 1 in 1700 and he's correct that it works out at 0.0588% of the general population.
Ranting? Fucking charming

Norwich player tested positive, was involved in a friendly against Spurs the day before.
They are making up their own rules to get the season back

The track and trace requires us to isolate for 14 days,we might not have been within touching distance

Players have contact training and as you say played a game and he is isolating for seven days and no other player from the game or norwich is isolating at all

I know, but that will be the faux justification for it.
