Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

I'm pretty sure these guidlines are WHO guidlines not our governments, also there guidance is less than 2m, but it depends on whether its face to face, or side to side.

Personally I'm happy to avoid contact of any length of time, and use 2M, and I'm comfortable with doing that.

This thread though is about football matches and training, and in the Norwich case a player who's played in a match but apparently not been close enough to other players, that has to be bullshit from both teams, and why a footballer only isolates 7 days yet for the rest of us the guidance is 14, more bullshit from the PL this time.

I am agreeing with you, I was responding more to posters who insist you need to be in constant contact for 15 minutes, that is bollocks. If I had the virus and walked up to you, coughed and then walked away, there is a huge chance you will have the virus. For a footballer with the virus to be with team mates before the match, play 90 minutes and then be with team mates after the match is asking for trouble.
I also agree about the 7 day nonsense.

Exactly. What about that lady from TFL, someone who Had Covid spat/coughed on her and she died shortly after!!

Just had an offer from NOW TV , three months sky sports for £20 per month , i won't be taking up their offer but might be worth looking into if you want to watch football-lite :)

I managed to get on the online chat and the person got me connected until the 14th July free of charge. That was the deal though. I paid just under £200 for 10 months in August which took me to 5th June. They promised they would keep us connected until the season ended due to there being no football since March. I'm not particularly looking forward to football played like this but it's better than nothing I suppose.

i can't get my head round crowd noises from FIFA 20 and cardboard cut outs in the seats , that did it for me , at least if l listen to the games on the radio i am spared the Sky bullshit , but i will look forward to the post match threads and no mention of supporters leaving 15 minutes from the end.

Yes it's shite I'd rather the season had been cancelled but we're stuck with it we may as well give it a go. Hey we might win two more trophies yet but it won't be quite the same without being there. I wonder if they could play the champions league/fa cup final in New Zealand where they can have a crowd?

I have no doubts that if that had been us in Livarpool's place. The season would have been declared null and void along time ago. The one and only reason to re-start the Premier League is to give Livarpool the title.

Whilst I agree, there is a counter argument. As with other leagues, they could have given it to them without resumption.

Maybe the dippers feel if they get the points to take them over the line, it will be won fair and square, although we know that isn't the case with the proposed changes.

...and the VAR shit show that preceded it.
