I do like your posts so wouldn’t like any harmful virus to see you off.
but I’m sure there is a few on here who’d gladly talk you out of it, and even offer to drive you to the match, in hope of stopping your prolific post numbers.

Friday night is my Guinness night so knowing my luck I`ll catch the fucking thing from my local pub.

Yes, so football (sport) is going to be taking a lengthy holiday, its a shame because it brings lots of people lots of pleasure, but its bigger than that, the whole entertainment business is taking a lengthy holiday, sport, gigs, holidays, eating out, everything, and a lot of businesses will go out of business.

I would say you’re looking at 12-18 months. This is what some health authorities are predicting. SARS, which never had the same global reach (so would suggest was not as easily transmittable) lasted from Nov-Jul. so 8-mths before they got on top of that. CV commenced late Nov early Dec.

Flu kills between 290,000 and 650,000 annually, but I don't see Prime Ministers going on national television to inform us that many of us are going to lose family members over that.

If football has any common sense whatsoever (I know... ) if the game has to be halted then all they need to do is suspend the season and finish it once things return to normal once more. If they are daft enough to cancel it altogether, then current league placings should be honoured accordingly.

As far as our league is concerned, no one is getting near Liverpool. It was won in all but name ages ago. If a team 25 points ahead does not get awarded the title then there would be absolute uproar that would have serious repercussions within the game. Voiding the whole thing would be complete lunacy and, in my humble opinion, is simply not going to happen.

If necessary, just suspend current tournaments and resume when possible."

If the league is suspended and/or cancelled the scousers can say whatever they like. The facts will remain, for all time, that they did NOT gain more points than any other team was capable of matching or besting this season, and as such they are not and never will be this season's champions.

Even if the EPL "award" them the title it will be truly and completely invalidated by the above fact and everyone will know it. Including the scousers.

If this were to happen, I can tell you now it will be the third best moment of my life , after the birth of my daughter and the Aguero moment.
I don't include my wedding day as we are now divorced and she was a bit of a twat to be honest. And no, I don't have pictures, I burned them all in a fit of rage a few years ago but apparently my therapist believes I'm not supposed to talk about it.

So many just don't get this, and are assuming what China did has worked, it might have cut numbers, and while they celebrate that, how many will catch it once they "free" everyone ?

Its no going away in the next 3 or 4 weeks, and probably not 3 or 4 months either.

Me and the missus have got two concerts booked for the week after next and don`t know what to do.
Milton Jones at The Quays,Salford (1 night away) and Jamie Cullum in Cardiff (3 nights away).
Wait a bit longer to see how the land lies but neither of us will compromise our health irrespective of how much cash we lose.

Thing is, even if they did award them the title with 10 games left, everybody, including their own fans, would know they hadn't really won the league... and it would be mocked and ridiculed for ever
