To be fair, it probably makes sense. We are probably going to be in and out of social distancing until the vaccine is available, so 12-18 months. That applies to sports men and women also!optimistic sort eh?
In my opinion all this is pie in the sky and only being done to keep the sponsors onside.
If the FA said, fuck it, let’s call it off and start again when it’s safe, the sponsors would all form a fuck off big queue wanting their dosh back.
But having a pretence of resuming the league in May or June the sponsors are kept quiet.
we’ve only had a proper week of this, by the end of March when the numbers really take off, and we all start to be realise people we actually know are contracting this thing, then it all becomes real and football takes a back seat.
As time rolls on and the seriousness bites, logic will prevail, the season will be voided and no-one will give a fuck.

If the French Open Tennis in May has been delayed until September, how on earth will they resume and complete the season by 30th of June? Are they going to play the remaining games behind closed doors?

Cant we just carry on? The mods can pick the side prior to when our fixtures should be and they can issue score updates. We can still moan about Gundogan on the match day thread, I swear half of those on it aren't watching the game. We can the blame the ref or Peps selection and possibly we could get to the champions league final.

No chance no emergency services will be available, football is fucked until new year, imagine if VVD was out of contract before the season restarts and they had to play without him, they’d be shitting it, why should a player sign a short term contract to see out 10 games? How the fuck do they work that out. UEFA know there will be no football till late summer at best. They got in quick and have sorted themselves out, and left the leagues with no wriggle room for next season. They know how problematic it will be if it doesn’t get finished by end of june (contracts/relegation/holidays/etc). So if it doesn’t finish by then, void is the only option left. This is terrible news for the bin dippers.

Players wont agree to play even behind closed doors... can anyone see David Silva putting his son's wellbeing at risk? There is some right shit being banded about in the media just now.

When you are part of a cult you only see things how you want see things.....they genuinely think these last 9 games could/will run into next season....How the fuck do they work that out. UEFA know there will be no football till late summer at best. They got in quick and have sorted themselves out, and left the leagues with no wriggle room for next season. They know how problematic it will be if it doesn’t get finished by end of june (contracts/relegation/holidays/etc). So if it doesn’t finish by then, void is the only option left. UEFA have signed their death warrant. Sponsors may put up with this year being compromised due to exceptional circumstances. They wont accept that for a second season on the trot, why should they. If and its a big if, football Does get under way in Sept, its boxed in now due to the euro’s in June 2021. Something will have to give and all roads lead to voiding of this season...!!
