The European Clubs’ Association tried to put into place a uniform football calendar but English football is potentially behind the curve in the spread of COVID-19 and the worst is yet to come. There is a fear games may not be played again for months
Premier League clubs will fight any attempts from broadcasters to fine them up to £750M should they fail to complete the season. Top-flight clubs would not accept financial punishments lightly and have already started preparing for that scenario.
The Premier League has come under fire for cancelling freelance shifts and not paying cash-strapped workers. A number of emails were sent by Premier League Productions to workers stating services are no longer needed on certain dates with the league on lockdown
