The thing i don't understand is the ' void this season and just start afresh next season' viewpoint, as if this is all going to be over by August

I think the issue is that finishing this season with different rules and set up than it started with (some teams not getting the advantage of having a home crowd in certain fixtures whereas the reverse fixture did have a home crowd, teams being able to make a different number of substitutes etc) brings the integrity of the competition into question.
Starting afresh in August/September at least gives everyone the opportunity to start from the exact same point. It would for me mean that if the season starts behind closed doors then it has to end that way too though or else we end up with a similar argument but in reverse at some point in the future .

Nothing is more certain if they try to give the title to Liverpool and/or relegate sides.

Probably not the best choice of words. I’m not sure anyone wants to see thousands dying for as long as possible and I know you didn’t mean it like that. If we could have zero deaths going forward and some of these clubs who have crossed us going bust, I’ll take that!

So as off 9.00am this morning we have 3 leagues in Europe that have null and void their entire seasons. It is only the idiots at the Premier League and those at the FA that want to continue the football season. Have just finished watching Sky news while having my breakfast, the r. ratio that every country is using, for the coronavirus in Germany has just gone over 1. They are now discussing whether to bring back the lockdown, as it looks like they may have eased it to soon.

Yet those idiot bosses at both the Premier League and the FA think that they know better than all the scientists that this will not spread the virus. Which planet are those bosses living on it must be somewhere beyond the planet Pluto. All it needs is one player to have the virus and not show any symptoms, and by the time they show he could have infected well over 100+ persons. Thus the Government will have to introduce yet another lockdown. All because they want to give Livarpool the f**king Premier League title.

There is one question all the PLAYERS from every club should be asking themselves would I be covered, should I CATCH THE CORONAVIRUS. If the answer is NO then they all should refuse to play. Then what would the bosses from the Premier League do.

I think you will find Senorita Tebas is also demanding the season must be finished in Spain. He is forecasting utter doom for the proffesional game if La Liga isn't played to completion.

Yea that's start football asap , sorry but my lads gf works in our local intensive care unit they lost a colleague a few weeks ago and now another death in any other local hospital. At the moment my lads gf is looking after someone with the virus. We are all worried for her safety. She is risking her life to help people and the powers at be within football are just a bunch of w**kers

f**king hate the way football is dealing with the virus.

Haven't read all this thread but for me this is the perfect opportunity for the creation of the European Super League at the expense of domestic leagues. Just my opinion.
