Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

A payment break would be nice. The last home game was the 19th of February.
I've been furloughed and skint. Has anyone had a phone call?
Even the red shite are calling their day trippers to keep them in the loop and offerr any game they miss this season will be knocked off next year

I think they should at the very least return the £50 for Madrid. No chance that’s being played with fans if even played at all. Would help people out some bit.

I miss football and CITY immensely but I won't be happy seeing football back (at all) until people are safe and sound. Tonight I have 6-a-side footy (here in China) but looking at the way the country has a 5 day holiday starting tomorrow, it wouldn't surprise me if a second wave comes. People are letting their guard down and the usual spitting, dirty behaviours are emerging once again. There are asymptomatic cases and imported cases popping up. They are super hot on control but as Dr Ian Malcolm says, "Life finds a way."

The problem in England is that the FA and UEFA don't have fresh blood of life-loving people with sensible ideas, so whatever they force through will be poor. And, if and when it goes wrong, expect the powers that be to cause a whole can of worms on the legal front.

Social repairs and cares come before a sack of air gets kicked. But, on the other hand, people would stay in more if they get to see Liverpool throw away a huge league title lead...

Plenty on here got calls from the club weeks ago. Funnily enough that didn't make the news though.
I think they were calling the elderly blues to check if they were ok, nice touch.
But I dont think general ST holders have had a call.
I'm not trying to slate the club, just getting a bit desperate and can't imagine anyone will be going to the Etihad in the foreseeable future.

All it needs is for 1 Premier League football to become seriously ill and even die from this Covid19 bug. Then both the boards of the FA and the Premier League in my opinion would have but no choice to resign on mass. It is their decision to restart football, and they all have to live with that decision. If I was one of those family members who lost either a husband, brother etc.. I would be looking to sue both of those boards for millions£'s

i still cannot believe there are written up proposals to start up the season again. The whole thing is now beyond farcical.

All of these proposed rules go out the window when players start clattering into each other on the pitch

Why are we listening to never walk alone. Ffs even the corona virus is about Liverpool and their pain. They got a too many media influencers. This is completely ruining the corona virus clapathon for me.

Sorry, I have woken up cynical
I often get the waking up cynical virus but l watch BBC Breakfast so its my own fault.

Today its all about Captain Tom and his efforts and his 100th birthday. Reporters repeatedly reporting from an airbase and asking pilots the usual lazy question 'how does it feel to...... in this case ...... fly over someones home?'
I might be cynical but not as much those who are pushing YNWA all the time not for gallant Captain Tom or the NHS but to promote Liverpool as the media push it at the start of every match on tv as if it is part of a religious ceremony.
