Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

Supposedly a Madrid basketball player, has tested positive - which likely means the football team will also be put into quarantine.
 
Had to laugh.......just asked a rag his opinion on this,and he says......"Mate.....if a yellow flag is raised in a horse race,it's declared a void race.....they don't award it to the horse a mile in front"
Made me laugh.
 
I think it’s pretty clear all of football will be cancelled in the next week or so!
If teams start getting affected, the game can’t be played
 
This is exactly what I predicted in the premier league games thread. It is an impossible situation that is untenable.
 
I am with Pep on this one, just suspend the games. I think Italians are doing the right thing by suspending the games and waiting to see if they could be played later. I would even thinking of sacrificing Euro 2020 and play games later in early summer if this pandemic abates.
