Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

I’m a little surprised to see so many blues suggesting that LiVARpool should be awarded the title - even if all league fixtures are not completed. I can in some respects accept that view as a reasonable and rational response in most circumstances. However, let’s put all of this into context. Liverpool orchestrated an unprecedented media campaign last spring to overshadow and undermine our unprecedented domestic achievements. Liverpool as a club have targeted and poached our staff and actively sought to weaken us both legally and illegally. To date they have got away with a proven case of hacking our scouting system. Finally, these self righteous murdering vermin are front and centre in the FFP case against us and are one of the clubs pushing for our club to be banned from European competition. Keep your focus blues... I wouldn’t want the Dippers to get anything - we should do whatever we can to weaken them. They are our enemy and we are at war. Remember that.

Another way would be to do as above but finish this season in August-October and then run the regional idea. I hear you but I’m prepared to put up with it on the basis that they’re only squealing because they’re upset. Also their well deserved reputation as self pitying, self centred, pathetic scumbags will be cemented once and for all if they’re crying and bleating about an irrelevant game whilst all around the world people are dying.
 
A Real Madrid basketball player (they use the same training ground) tested positive for corona virus. Both teams in quarantine so I very much doubt this game is getting played at all never mind behind closed doors

Brilliant isn’t it. I’d love to spend a day with one of them, imagine their little minds “that car slammed it’s brakes on! I had to slam mine on, I’m now a good 45s behind where I should be, I’m going to the game, the cameras might focus on my seat which will now be empty for 45s linger and use that as an agenda for FPP!!! Arrghhhh”

Look at Juve and Arsenal, 14 day quarentine because Rugani has it (Juve) and because they met someone who has it (Arse). Players and coaches are going to start contracting it and then whole teams will be locked down for 2 weeks. Think we're just copying Italy here, behind closed doors for a week or so and then postpone/cancel when we realise shit has hit the fan.

You could well be right, I write with no certainty at all.

It just seems such a disaster for the season not to finish, finals not to be played and the economic cost to tv companies, not that I agree that should be a factor, I think they will find a way.

As sad as it sounds i couldn't agree more with this statement. Should the season not finish no body should be awarded the title. The title, as we all know, is earned over a 38 game period and if for whatever unfortunate reason that obligation can't be filled then there is no champion. Liverpool are a self obsessed, bitter, repugnant bunch of people and i fart in their general direction.
