Corruption in English football?

Most corruption is driven by money
The rags and liverpool are global powerhouses capable of generating billions in revenue for their clubs and all the associated leeches that attach themselves (media whores, betting companies et al).

Their success benefits those leeches commercially.

For Manchester City (and any similar Club which raises itself to be a threat whilst lacking that global commercial capability), they are refereed using a different interpretation of the laws of the game, and covered by the media very, very differently.

Favouring one (or actually two) Clubs over another for commercial reasons - that's just corruption.

Looks like officials are 6th most likely to corruptly favor us or thereabouts - stats a bit old.

Then you also have to factor in the title winning run of 5000-1 rank outsiders Leicester.

In terms of marketing that was huge in the Far East and no doubt help build the global reach of the PL which they were struggling to do so at that time. Coincidence?

And that's before you get into the global betting markets where substantial amounts were lumped on early in the season in places like Thailand and China. Ladbrokes alone in the UK paid out £4.3m.

It STINKS.

So basically your saying Leicester City FC won the title because of corruption?

Not because Us, rags, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea were all completely uncompetitive that season ?

Did they also win the FA Cup last season by corruption?

Or are they a superbly run football club, that has invested brilliantly, bought well and scouted players the "big" clubs did not see?

Bit of both.

There have been a lot more coincidences in their title win, compared to say our 2018 title win or Chelsea’s 2017 title win.

The betting markets, the noise around their alleged doping, the comments made by people in the club that they’d be winning the title within four years of promotion, “a new winner such as Leicester would be good for the PL brand”, the clear refereeing biases that littered their matches and were ignored because of the fairy tale and neutral bias.

I’m not saying I think we’re squeaky clean. I think if someone’s at it, most will be at it, but their title win was surrounded by a lot of coincidences and noise that people still ask questions now about it.

The UK betting industry have essentially conceded that in hindsight the initial odds of 5000/1 was a huge 'mistake' (I'm willing to bet it wasn't). And yes they did take an initial hit, but if you look at long term gains it couldn't have played out better if they'd planned it. Leicester's title win breathed life into long-term betting and the idea that outsiders can defy the odds.

In the wake of their win bookies profits actually went up. That's just an example of a £multi-billion UK industry benefiting hugely. Then you have worldwide betting, which has more than its fair share of shady characters and alleged links to organised crime. Leicester's title win made a lot of money for a lot of people who are not directly involved with football before you even get into the organisations involved in football governance (the PL 'brand' - Scudamore's comments)

And if you analyse why the 5 clubs you mention (including us) being 'uncompetitive I seem to recall more than a few dodgy decisions going against them at key moments in certain games that had bearing on league positions.
