Definitely a frivolous appeal. You do wonder why referees/football authorities can't make a good decision without following it up with a bad one to appease the other side.
Not bothered about the extra match, it would be the League Cup Final which has no relevance to us at all,
It wouldn't half piss Jose off. Reason enough.

It wouldn't have been the final. They've got 5 league matches between now and then. Don't think the FA could have gone down the frivolous appeal route when you've got the likes of Neville, Lineker etc telling the world it was an accident

Forgot about the midweek round of games, there's only 4 games before the LC final now that they're out of the Cup.

Re: Costa Convicted!

If Oliver could do his job properly and seen it at the time he could have got a 6 game ban so got off lightly really.

Does he not get an extra match ban for a failed appeal or is that just for league games?

They obviously decided that the appeal wasn't frivolous which it clearly was. Shame that, I'd have enjoyed seeing Mourniho's reaction if they'd added a fourth match.

There was no appeal because no appeals are allowed under the fast track system. He was charged and he simply denied it (i.e. pleaded not guilty) which he was perfectly entitled to do.

The dirty twat.

I can't for the life of me see what Chelsea/Mourhino hoped to gain from appealing Costa's thuggery. Any one of us has got more chance of winning the lottery than Costa had of getting off that charge.

Maureen wants the chavs to think he's one of them, that he's leading from the front, battling on their behalf, peering out of his window from Rourke's Drift and seeing the FA natives after their pound of flesh.
Everywhere he goes he tries to create a them and us situation, but that act is wearing a little thin now. Even some chavs can see beyond the parody that he's become.

There is only one club left for him in this country, and they would be ideally fucking suited to one another.
