They obviously decided that the appeal wasn't frivolous which it clearly was. Shame that, I'd have enjoyed seeing Mourniho's reaction if they'd added a fourth match.

Definitely a frivolous appeal. You do wonder why referees/football authorities can't make a good decision without following it up with a bad one to appease the other side.

He's already in trouble for sending his assistant to one the other day, so he follows it up by cancelling it altogether. He's daring them to punish him, so he can moan about it.

Not bothered about the extra match, it would be the League Cup Final which has no relevance to us at all,
