Same as Balotelli and Wing Commander Scotty Parker. The only problem Costa will be given the chance to bag the winner on Saturday and Balotelli wasn't given the opportunity.

Only if he gets off. Decision made on Friday up is simply guilty or not guilty. If guilty, ban starts immediately.

I have a bad feeling Costa will play. We didn't even appeal with Balotelli's sending off.

The rule for rescinding a red card it that it has to have been given completely erroneously and that, in retrospect, no action at all should have been taken (or at least no card, either red or yellow) would have been given.

If Oliver has said he would have given a red, then if the same principle is followed, the decision makers would have to be convinced that it was purely accidental.

Now Gary Lineaker has tweeted pretty much the same thing as Ratboy about him not looking so you can't ban him? It's bizarre, it seems like Mourinho has sent a memo round to those in the media and they are all obliging. They cannot honestly believe that was an accident can they?
