We can't have a Courtois, Valdes, Neuer, Hart like keeper as a backup simply because they won't sit out more than 80% of the matches. I think Pantilimon is a great deputy and he has atleast earned his right to play in the league cup and FA cup.

Will be gone in the summer and wish him well. Decent backup but championship level will beckon if he wants to start
I reckon we should ditch the backup keepers all together, waste of time tbh and if Hart has a bad run we will just have to live with it..
And if he gets injured I think yaya could go in goal..hes a big fella after all..
FFS.. there are some on here who are either wumming or have the footballing brain of a peanut.
So you rate him then?

As a back yes of course I rate him.. unless you can name a better keeper than Pants who'd come to be a backup..please name one?? good luck with that.
Backup keepers are never as good as the first team keeper, why oh why do many on here not realise this ??.. but backup keepers have to have games or else they will be off to get first team football-hence why hes getting the cup games and Joe is getting the prem and CL.
Pants was basically left in a one on one situation twice yesterday by poor defending by those in front of him.. Are you 100% sure Joe would have stopped them ?? I base yesterday on facts not conjuncture..
Do people not remember 3/4 seasons ago when we had to get Fulop in on loan as our first and second choice were injured??
we have already reached a cup final this season with pants in goal...how short the memories are of many on here.

Spot on. The yardstick is this: is he good backup and a useful squad member? And the answer is surely "yes".

I think your missing the point
He see's himself as a no1 and if he isn't no1 by the summer he will want to leave.
In my opinion, he isn't good enough to be no1, joe is better and even if a miracle happens and joe leaves Pelli will buy a new keeper, so pants will leave.
What do you disagree with that?

Will be gone in the summer, pants or Pelli citing wanting 1st team football

Exactly remember in 2011 Joe played all FA Cup and Prem games why can't he do that again this year Panty should have done MUCH MUCH better for Watford's second and don't get me started about the Blackburn equalizer in the previous round.cityjo said:We don't need to..Robinho's Subbuteo said:cityjo said:Same..
Joe Hart for the rest of the season..
Totally agree. Why do we need to rotate keepers anyway?
