Could we become the biggest club in the world?

It's not blinkered it's fact, if we are winning trophys left right and centre and the rags aren't, 100% we will be top dogs, the kids don't give a shit about history they want to support a WINNING team.

I've put this within the post mate. It would take sustained success over several generations, which I can't see happening. You only have to see the amount of City shirts amongst school kids around Manchester and further afield to know we are the top dogs currently amongst the youngest generation. That was not the case in the 90s and 2000s.

I know exactly that, my first game 1975, what irked me is that you said "united would have to go bust" for City to be top dogs.

I firmly believe they would. I hope I'm wrong and City win 15 out of the next 20 league titles and that we are both around to see it. It would take this level of domestic domination for it to happen, and about 5 more Champions League wins.

They have fallen more than I ever imagined they would in the last 10 years. And we've become bigger and better than I ever thought we would, even with our current owners. So here's hoping.

You're only as good as your last Champions League win or the Premier League title, The history books mean nothing, So as it stands we are the best club in England and Europe that's it, Glory hunters that have stopped winning titles and winning in Europe have a library they all sit in looking proud and reminiscing about their last title or Champions league title on youtube

Depending on what metric you care to use, City are already part of the biggest football franchise in the world.
Our competitors have been asleep at the wheel for far too long to catch up.
CFG are an entertainment business growing year on year and at the moment City are the flagship.
Let's see where we are in another 10 years.
Every City fan should read Sorianos book which was published before his arrival at City.
Pep is a genius but he couldn't do it without these certain people behind him.

I don’t care much about bragging rights of how big a club is but it is important from the point of view of having the revenue to remain competitive.

The club is in the kind of position that other ”bigger” built their popularity on and it will be funny when it hits home to other supporters just how big City are going to be.

It looks like we may have crossed the Rubicon. Biggest club in the world one day, it’s possible, City will definitely be one of the biggest.
