Could Yaya be under threat??

Probably not this season, but we will have the luxury of being able to rotate him when necessary to give him a rest. His starting ratio in terms of availability must be nearly 100%. Mancini simply never dropped him, and almost never subbed him despite being fucked at certain points.

Let's hope so, the guy needs a kick up the arse.

Agree totally - either a kick up the arse or a rest for the odd game so he's at his best. Looked like he needed to attend a Slimming World class over the summer too by the end of the season - some red and green days will do him good.

if we adopt the soft approach ie less kicking more rest make sure its not near a Kentucky Fried Fat outlet

this is what u call a kick up the ass, start putting in consistant performances or we have someone to threaten your position

well, he certainly does not fit the modern stereotype of all action super-fit midfielder, but then neither did Vierra. Got some annoying habits, needless bookings for petulance, wasting free-kicks, mouthing off to team-mates, against all that he is possibly our most naturally gifted player, scores vital goals and hits some sublime passes. Stick or twist?

I hope so. Nobody should be guaranteed a starting spot in our team anymore, it's what keeps players in top form. Yaya will have his best season with us next year imo. Because he has to if he's to stay in the team.

i wonder where rodwell will fit in ??? tbh can see him leaving maybe next year as he will not play that much.
If he stays fit, he'll get game time. Our inability to rotate with quality players cost us dear last season.

Our 1st 15 is better than anyone else's IMO, but after that our quality falls off a cliff edge and this is where the Rags had the advantage over us. It's all about strength in depth and being able to replace like for like.

Surely Garcia then Barry have to be ahead of Rodwell in the exit queue. He's young, English, talented and has a great attitude.
