Milner was a homegrown signing though, so we can't really fault that. But I see no reason why we can' go for Vidal now.
cant fault it at all in them terms but when it comes down to football milner just isnt for us and i personally think he knows it. Well it would be nice to go and sign a top class young DM for 20-30.
But I think the plan is to put Yaya back there with De Jong. I think Ibrahim or Abu will be groomed or somebody we buy around 18-19 to be developed. No one we bring is gonna start over Nigel for a couple years. I doubt Asomoah/Vidal/M'Vila are gonna want to to fight with Yaya/Barry/Milner etc for starts at this point in their careers if they move.

Without signing any new player and provided Boetang/Toure/Lescott/Boyata can become first class central defenders individually or as pairs I would say Kompany could play there without any problem, reason he was signed in the first place, just because he has proved an exceptionally good central defender doesn't mean he should stay there (as long as one of the others steps up to the plate) no reason then why on rotation or to cover for NDJ he shouldn't occupy the spot in which he was bought.
