Just read this article which suggests that two thirds of patients who fall critically ill are due to Obesity according to NHS data and 40% are under the age of 60.

Yep, I don’t think there’s a single demographic that isn’t fucking it up. The only ones I can excuse are kids that don’t understand what’s happening. The pensioners are out getting their purple rinses before all barbers shut. They’re shopping with Albert and Dorris just like they always did. The youth are dicks as per, thinking they are invincible and not having the mental capacity to realise they are killing their elders. Maybe they don’t care, twats. Then families are treating it as a school holiday now that the kids are with them. Off to the playground, sending them for sleepovers, out in the park etc. It’s a gigantic cluster fuck.

The first weekend we were all put on warning, I would guess there were around half as many people in total as usual out and about, over the two days I saw two groups of 13-16 year olds, 10-15 in each, which is bigger than usual, and both times the whole group was swarming all over each other, couldn't have been bunched together any tighter, or making more physical contact in terms of randomly pushing / touching each other, sharing phones constantly, seemingly way more than usual even for teens. I ended up thinking there's some social psychological thing going on with them.

My missus is currently out on shift as a council employed care worker.

She’s not allowed to visit her own Mum but is out caring for other people’s parents.

These people on the front line are amazing.

I wish my wife was not in the firing line. I’m proud that she is a specialist respiratory nurse, but I’m scared shitless that the pig ignorant masses who believe it’s only killing people who were going to die anyway, will put her life and that of my family at serious risk. People need to wake up quick before it’s too late... if it isn’t already for a lot of folk
