Why aren’t more people outraged that they lied to the WHO in as late as January, when we now know they had thousands of cases of this highly contagious virus, that is ruining and ending lives.

Is any of the above actually true though mate? I am not sure it is. The Chinese were telling the world about this from early January. Take a look at the timeline here:

I don't think they were lying to the WHO when in reality they had 1,000's of cases. And heck, even if they did, it was in Japan by late Jan, and other countries similar time. We knew it was coming and did bugger all for well over a month.

The benefits system is at breaking point. I’ve had people report to me at work that there is a 30,000 queue online and like 10,000 queue on phone to get through to Universal Credit. This is supposed to be a safety net to those affected by this current situation and they just can’t get access to that. Plus it’s then going to take a minimum of 6 weeks for their claim to processed. The government need to get a grip on this and fast or the DWP just won’t be able to cope.
I tried applying online and got 75% through the identity check when it sent me to a screen that I couldn't leave because it was asking for information that I'd already said I didn't have and there was no option to go back to previous screens. Tried the phone and as you've mentioned it's a nightmare, I didn't even get a queuing number, it just cut me off after waiting for a few minutes.

A friend of ours and her husband have caught it. They were in contact with someone two weeks ago, who tested positive this week, but it’s not clear if they definitely caught it from her.

We saw our friends almost two weeks ago, after she had seen this girl but currently have zero symptoms.

Do we self isolate?
Yes,you might have it and have little or no symptoms, just don't take any chances

just had a quick look out of my window in our quite little cull n sac, the self employed plumber has gone to work all week, the self employed builder has gone to work all week so far and the window cleaner has just turned up to do peoples windows. I think we are the only working house not to be working once we have finished 14 days isolation than 100% of our cull n sac will still be working !

I'll be going in on the night shift later, supplying for the motorway.
It's a moot point whether all this work is essential. Some of it is when there has been an accident etc.

In truth I can afford financially to not work for a while, however if I decided to not turn up i would be dropping teammates in the shit because they'd have to cover my job.

If you get a new cough or high temp, if not no.

The other parties in the situation could have all caught it independently, the event which took place where our friends saw this girl was a house gathering two weeks ago, no one else that attended has symptoms.

We’re a week and four days since we saw them also.

Just wanted to see what other people thought as it’s a loose chance of us being risky to others.

yep and at that stage china and Japan’s borders should have been shut down for a month but no.....

MOT exemptions for private vehicle owners

The transport secretary has announced cars, motorcycles and vans will not need to have an MOT test from 30 March.

This will be for six months.

Grant Shapps said this will "enable vital services such as deliveries to continue, frontline workers to get to work, and people to get essential food and medicine".

Owners have been told that vehicles must be kept in a roadworthy condition, and garages remain open for essential repair work.

Drivers can still be prosecuted for driving unsafe vehicles - and people should still be staying at home and avoiding travel.

If you cannot get an MOT before 30 March because you are in self-isolation the Department for Transport said it is working with insurers and police to ensure drivers are not unfairly penalised for things out of their control.

Practical driving tests and annual MOTs for lorries, buses and coaches were suspended for three months on 20
