I said 50,000 COULD die in the next fortnight IF the current exponential trend continues. That’s a fact. Hopefully the exponential trend won’t continue and a lot less will lose their lives.

I am sure a lot of people find what i post confronting,it is the facts/ news and knowledge is power imo,i assume most are not sat with the news on and some abroad and not seeing the briefings,i have tried to be helpful whilst having this bastard illness so people know the signs,know what to expect and how to get help,we are all processing this differently,nobody needs to be offended by someone else take on it,we are all fraught so it will boil over now and again but we are all capable of not reading someones posts if they don't want to

Can we please get things into perspective this thread is becoming
real scaremongering we have had 2,400 deaths approximately out of 66 million people who live in the uk even if it hits 40,000 it’s still a relatively small number and very unlikely anyone on here will die with it or very few at least. All you can do is follow all the precautions and try your best to keep you and your loved ones as safe as possible

All I'd say is please be aware, there are people who are looking at their loved ones knowing they are at high risk of being in whatever number you care to post. Their mum, dad, sister, children in some cases. This stuff is very real to some. Please think about how you'd been placed in an immediate situation where overnight you were told one of them had a 1/10 chance of going in the next few months, and you'd possibly not even be able to see them.... then someone said something along the lines of 'can we please remember there's only 40,000 so it's not like it's going to be me or you?'

Madness.
