Ha, well she should. In all honesty though there are a number of posters on here that have a good breadth of knowledge. I've actually learned a few things that I wouldn't have got from the MSM. Keep posting, I do like a graph!

As some people have said maybe the UK has been following a semi herd policy.

Sweden which has been operating a herd policy has three times as many dead as Norway and Denmark combined.

And that's fine depending on what your goal is.

However strict lockdown prevents mortality rates more than casual lockdown and that is better than no lockdown.

I am not speaking about the economy or long term statistics here. They are things we don't know yet.

People talk about Sweden as if they're a 100% herd immunity country but they were one of the earliest countries to take big measures, placing restrictions on mass gatherings in early March and even now, no more than 50 people are allowed to gather. They also imposed travel bans in mid-March. I don't think they've pursued herd immunity any more than the UK has.

Maybe not but they have not been as strict as their two neighbours hence the difference.

I don’t think we are there are multiple cases of people who are old and have various other illnesses recorded as Covid deaths without being tested.

I know this for a fact my mates dad 90 care home dementia, diabetes been on his last legs for months - sadly died a month or so ago. They said of Covid. He died because he was old and dying he had been ill for months.

It still needs to be taken into account, we can't pretend like COVID had nothing to do with people who 'were on there last legs'.

Not read it yet but not surprised. Although it’s been very difficult for many (I’ve struggled) it’s also become a new normal...less rushed, less reliance on material things so I can understand. Thought I’d love to see the busyness back initially but I quite like the peace. The walks have been so utterly lovely and I’ve reconnected with so many old pals. Attended a virtual conference this week (Canada so evenings for me) and enjoyed tech coming into its own.
Looking forward to mixing back with people but I’d hazard a guess things will be a bit looser after this.

64k people tested yesterday.
Approx 10k less than 30 April.
