The NW has actually FALLEN today to `1499 from 1734 - all the big increases are from the south and tier 2.
This is worth a thread of its own.Have no fear. Quantum computing, genetic engineering, new knowledge about proteins and necessity (the virus, global warming etc) will drive many amazing breakthroughs in the next few years.
Ah mine are all of senior school age mate. I can imagine the nightmare with it for primary aged kids. Infact it was a nightmare on first lockdown. We're currently surrogate parents for my 7 year old Niece. If she gets sent home it will be impossible to home-school her. We've both got (more than!) full time jobs and wouldn't have time or resources to do it. Many others would be in the same situation.
As for your second point... I agree wholeheartedly and will be giving the super-spreader event a miss over the Festive period.
From my own personal experience working on transport. Scousers aren’t wearing masks like they used to. When challenged they say they’ve been tested clear and there’s a vaccine so why bother. The NW has actually FALLEN today to `1499 from 1734 - all the big increases are from the south and tier 2.
I agree. We are beginning a scientific revolution which will benefit all mankind hugely.. Pity I won't be around to see it!This is worth a thread of its own.
A few people have said to me they believe we’re in the verge of a new revolution that replaces the industrial one. AI and cryptocurrency being the way of the future.
This article says it has been reviewed by the LancetThe most recent review I've seen was in the Lancet and that was the Oxford vaccine group publishing their own trial results.
So London in tier 3 from next week then. I await the government announcement.

Astonishing some of the figures and number crunching associated with quantum computing.Have no fear. Quantum computing, genetic engineering, new knowledge about proteins and necessity (the virus, global warming etc) will drive many amazing breakthroughs in the next few years.
With what you're saying they'll be able to bring you back and stick your brain inside Chris Hemsworth's body...I agree. We are beginning a scientific revolution which will benefit all mankind hugely.. Pity I won't be around to see it!
They are not deemed reliable enough yet, and only pick up something like 76% of positive cases (Not sure on the exact figure but i'm sure its around that %)Not that then. Why would that be though surely a positive test should count whatever kind of test its is.
Think all positive rapid tests are confirmed by PCRNot that then. Why would that be though surely a positive test should count whatever kind of test its is.
No, very probably the all in it together rhetoric will start now that is the only credible conclusion.
Personally I just think the tiers are no use in a mobile interconnected small country like England.
It creates perception of unfairness in the harshest areas and elitism in the softest and both just make things worse where national policies are at least simple and much more difficult to evade if there is nowhere better to go from or to.
IMO four weeks of national measures is way better than 3 months of half assed tiers that are at best partly effective.

I'm seriously in agreement that tiers are counter productive. No, very probably the all in it together rhetoric will start now that is the only credible conclusion.
