They will, undoubtedly go higher, but a decision has been made by government that it’s an acceptable risk in order to get the economy moving.I'm struggling to see any way in which UK death numbers won't be significantly larger than present.

they will ramp the propaganda up a fair bit in the next few weeks.
it will be most people have mild symptoms, a lot won’t even know they even have it , mortality rate by age and where the virus really attacks. Social distancing is the most important thing and wash your hands.
it’s going to be a bit different to the last few weeks.
Of course lockdown can't continue forever but the numbers are still alarmingly high. My concern is that the government are seeing other nations coming out of lockdown and the motivation now is not to fall behind them economically, which is an understandable concern but it should not be at the expense of people's health.
This.
We're a few weeks behind other countries who are fortunate enough to be in a position to begin easing their lockdowns as the numbers are a bit better (and I use that term loosely). We've seen that but instead of owning up to our initial failings and learning from it, we've immediately decided they can't be out there having fun when we're not allowed so we're just gonna go for it again anyway, to hell with the science.
Which is ironic given how badly ill Johnson was with it, despite not having any underlying health conditions (that we are aware of).
Sadly people take this stuff at face value though and will act accordingly upon reading it.
Wow. That really is incredible. What a ridiculous front page. No surprise as it’s such a wank paper but I can’t get my head around something like that.
its pretty obvious whats going to happen when the restrictions are eased - cases will sky rocket
