186 deaths in English hospitals declared yesterday.
The total only includes 4 from April and 18 prior to this week in May so it looks like the Hospital death audits have finished.
I hope my prediction that deaths in care homes will exceed hospital deaths today doesn't come true, though I fear it might.

Only 256 in total in hospitals in the UK (though I'm not sure that figure doesnt include care homes in Scotland), so maybe they did get a grip in care homes two weeks ago.
We haven't got a clue as to when and where care home deaths happend so we dont know.
EdIt: 384 in total

Surprised that only 2% of kids have been in school. I could have sent my kids in but as the wife and I can both work at home and have some flexibility with hours we decided to keep them off to reduce burden on the teachers. For what little it is worth I would be ok sending my kids back into school when they reopen although I'll be keeping them away from the grandparents for a bit. My kids are in 3 different schools and they have all had slightly different experiences of lockdown. My sons school in particular seemed to struggle to sort itself out seemingly due to the lack of IT skills of the teachers - he reliably informs me that no one is doing any work anyway so I should get of his case

That's hospitals I think. About 380 in all settings I think.

Considering it was around 900 a day in just hospitals, to go down to 256 is very good but still some way to go.

Yeah I spotted that. I was too quick of the mark. Still I'm pleasantly suprised. The number of deaths in care settings is finally coming down.

You utter plank!
It isn’t the risk to children that is the problem, it’s the fact that they can get infected as easily as adults, as the ONS study has found, don’t get ill, but are vectors for passing it round and killing obese parents, diabetic neighbours and grandparents.
Now thats the point.
From whenever I can remember school has always given households colds etc..
