Children can indeed be infected. They can indeed pass it on but the Swis and others are accepting that this is at much less risk than other transmission. Which is the point I am trying to get over.Lothar Wieler,head of Germanys leading disease control body Robert Koch Institute,said on Thursday that children play just as important a role in spreading the disease as adults. “They can be infected, they can excrete the virus and they can infect others,” he said.
Sorry to be a party pooper, but they already have told them.
I guess if the Swiss are wrong there will be a new outbreak that we can use to say "Great - I'm glad we didn't go down that route". If the Swiss are right then we can follow their lead. We need do nothing ourselves but keep a watching brief.
