You had a lockdown 'lite' from the very start. That wasn't enough for loads though who have constantly ignored the advice given. If people are too fucking stupid to stay indoors during a worldwide pandemic then frankly I couldn't give a toss about them and would happily see them suffer - sadly though its not just them who will suffer but all the poor cunts they infect.
You were already weeks behind many other countries at the start of April so a few more weeks being touted should have been the minimum.
3/4 of the UK had 3 more weeks and my bit can see the benefit of those 3 extra weeks.

7 day is better , but with deaths lagging infection by 3 weeks plus, we need to watch new infections, if we wait for deaths to go up before acting it’s already too late. The UK has flattened off at around 2000.
Where Scotland with its extra 3 weeks has continued falling quite steeply and even if it levels out like England now we have a slight lifting it’s levelling at a much lower relative level.
Fair point although remember England has a density four times greater than Scotland, two and a half times greater than Spain and just under one and half times Italy. Was always going to be more difficult to get the last push especially when there are so many idiots in this country. Like the woman on the beach complaining about the amount of people on the beach. YCMIU!

Yes it was but using this very rough calculation based on 1/10th poulation, when England came out of lockdown Scotland were on about 300-400 cases a day about 1/10 th of the UK 4000 a day.
3 weeks later when Scotland is coming out it’s about 25 a day last two days 18 and 19while the UK is stuck at about 2000, almost 1/100 th of UK totals.
Will wait and see if that continues but waiting 3 weeks looks the right call.

New cases = 1,570 - The lowest number since 25th March.
479 hospital admissions yesterday.
Deaths = 111 yesterday - The lowest number since 23rd March.

Reported earlier:
113 in hospital (and all locations in Scotland)
65 English hospital trusts had no deaths today (49.5%).
12 English trusts (9.2%) have had no deaths for a week.

Lowest number of deaths and new infections since lockdown apparently. Still needs to decrease significantly and quicker

On the one hand I'm glad that Scotland waited that extra three weeks, but on the other hand it's an open border in any case and when travel between England and Scotland picks up then the virus will transfer back into Scotland in a bigger scale than it is currently. Basically Scotland could hypothetically eradicate the virus only for it to be reintroduced and take off again anyway. That's why I'd have preferred the UK to have given it 3 more weeks too.
