Forgive my post then because frankly at a time when prostate cancer was being advertised as the 2nd biggest male killer I had a high psa blood test flagged by Manchester Royal so saw my Yorkshire Trust who simply used a much higher threshold and ridiculed my concern.Still a very cuntish thing to say especially from a national newspaper editorial.
Moving to Spain a few months later resulted in the same psa reading needing an immediate biopsy and follow up successful treatment for prostate cancer.
I remain to be convinced that bean counting decisions regarding diagnosis decisions are not made by tightly budgeted NHS Trusts.
