Scottish data up first as usual.

50 deaths - really shocking numbers here. But no surprise as these are rising everywhere sadly.

1433 cases too - which is up somewhat

at 7.9 % positive

602 in Greater Glasgow, 163 Lothian. 318 Lanarkshire, 85 Ayrshire

1257 in hospital - up 3

94 on ventilator beds - up 2

Depressing.

Scotland 3 wks ago v 2 wks ago v last wk v today

Deaths: 15 v 28 v 28 v 50 today

Cases: 1429 v 1735 v 1202 v 1433 today - first increase week to week in a while. Hopefully a one off.

Patients: 570 v 873 v 1117 v 1257 - still happily showing the slowdown that may lead to a reduction in deaths (in hospital at least).

icu ventilator beds 49 v 72 v 85 v 94 today - again the slow down in hospital data is encouraging.

Nicola Sturgeon referred to the signs of improvement but that Scotland is still in a 'fragile position' and 'no country on the globe' is doing really well in face of this pandemic - but the sacrifices of Scottish people have made thiongs better than they might have been. Thank you. She noted.

well, lets get looking at the ethics of compulsory medical intervention;

And this little document;

A point being that if lockdown is lawful for public health then mandatory vaccination also is, under the same premises.

well someone, or some people are going to make billions if that happens. A mandatory vaccination for a virus that affects 1% of people is absurd.

Given that they have reportedly trialled issuing vaccines in some groups of people the numbers from Russia indicate it will not be a quick fix as and when we get one in the UK. Numbers there are still going up steadily.

19, 768 cases yesterday and 389 deaths in last 24 hours.

Very similar numbers to the UK yesterday (20,018 cases and 397 deaths here).

You focus too much on the numbers that get ill, we can ALL catch it and spread it , my cat has to be vaccinated before a cattery would take her for even a one night stay and to get her insured , it is mad that humans dont have to be for the sake of everyone , vaccines are the safest thing you can have and they are not live

According to the Telegraph today GP surgeries are all to be notified this week to prepare plans for a vaccine to be administered to some at risk patients before Christmas - though current expectation is for the first weeks of 2021 they want them to be prepared as a pre Christmas start remains possible.

I suppose you won’t need one though?

Of course I focus on the numbers that get ill, it’s the most relevant piece of data, especially when the justification for lockdowns is to ‘protect our NHS’ . In fact back in April it was all we focused on. You focus to little on the % of people who have don’t have difficulties when contracting it, thus form the narrative the end of the world is nigh.
