Boris Johnson coming under increasing pressure to be more pro-active.

I expect in the next week,or two, the government will go from doing nothing,to totally over reacting.

School closures,banning of large crowd gatherings etc.

That's not over reacting, its just reacting, over reacting would have been 7-10 days ago, but it might have saved lives.

Surely after tomorrow’s cobra meeting, we can expect significant measures being taken before the end of the week. It would be totally absurd to go into next week with no changes. And it’s already absurd!

Italy have now closed down every retail business apart from pharmacies and food shops.

Easter holidays is two week away from sunday.

I expect a lockdown to be anounced friday for schools/college/uni so 4 weeks closure.

Whether they also lockdown other institutions , who knows


Just my opinion.

Yeah they will start rolling out shut downs in the next day or so. Sports and schools will be among the first to be shuttered. Can see all European football being suspended including us. Closed doors for football isn’t going to work as fans will just gather outside.

I think even that timeline wouldn’t have been overreacting (in retrospect, anyway).

The fact the Liverpool-Atleti match (as much as we all enjoyed it immensely) was allowed to go on was irresponsible.

Then again, it potentially impacts me on both sides of my family, so I am of course going to have strong feelings about it.

Thanks for that. I was looking at at a chart earlier that showed none around the south east.
