Co-signing @grunge’s suggestion to watch Dr. Campbell’s videos and specifically recommending this one, even if you don’t fancy viewing any of his other update videos.

He provides practical advice regarding protecting yourself and your family from any bacterial or viral infection, whether seasonal flu, common cold, or more dangerous pathogens.

But those infected were very likely completely unaware they were sick and were spreading the virus well before they had any symptoms. And, at that point, no one would have know they were transmitting the virus as it was/is a novel strain of coronavirus. For all most would have known, they had the flu, and would have taken normal (though we now know relatively ineffective) precautions.

Maybe China can start introducing better food safety standards and clamping down on people eating disease ridden filthy animals. Especially wild animals and those kept in disgusting squalid conditions.surely other countries must make these demands of China since they keep sending this dirty shit our way.

To be fair, the Chinese government has been trying to improve animal husbandry, meat production, and market conditions. They are fighting against centuries of traditions within an extremely large and diverse population that are surprisingly difficult to change even with some of their more... aggressive methods (which we won’t discuss in this thread to stay on-topic; I want to be clear that I do not condone some of things the Chinese government are doing, nor some of the “methods” they are using).

It’s important to remember we once had very similar practices and it took much, much, much (check the time scale of their development compared to ours, I really can’t add enough muchs) longer for us to improve hygiene and general conditions (partially because we had to develop some of the systems, methods, and drugs required to do it, which they are able to now more rapidly implement, of course). So, if anything, they are doing generally quite well in that regard.

Anyone seen the video doing the tlrounds on messenger 3men in face masks and plastic suits with rifles and hand guns quite disturbing tbh
