All these people working from home at least my run to work will be easier and I see pollution has dropped dramatically in China, every cloud.
RT @SkyNewsBreak: Chief Scientific Adviser Sir Patrick Vallance has told Sky News the coronavirus has a “higher death rate than flu” but adds “for most people - the vast majority of people - this will be a mild illness”
Exactly. I do think they need to issue some guidelines on when “Mild illness” turns into “seek medical attention”. Otherwise they’ll have people who have never experienced flu panicking, and people who are seriously ill trying to tough it outFlu itself is classed as a “mild illness” but it’s still fucking horrid if you get it.
And how will the rich then stay rich?I agree but it would be a massively expensive undertaking so they wont want to pay.All us workers will get ill or die while the rich stay out of it.
I wonder if calling it a mild illness could be counter productive. Won’t people who are moderately ill, equivalent to a case of flu, panic into thinking they’re going to be part of the 1%. At what point should those who are struggling seek medical assistance?
It’s rather like comparing season flu numbers in the first week of November with those for the whole of the previous winter and deciding there’s no need for a flu vaccineThey’ve just had some women who used to be the editor of the Daily Star on talking about ‘more people die from the flu’ - why are people still allowed on TV saying this stuff. She either doesn’t know or is pretending not to know what the difference is. Either way, she shouldn’t be on the telly
Currently costs in excess of $3000 to be tested in the USA ..... cant see many going for that.
It will be interesting if they ban goal celebrations, whether players themselves cut out the hugging and kissing. Training grounds do seem the perfect environment for spreading viruses

I’m hoping the give me a bleeper for fire calls, will take me 20 mins to get to station to turn out, so if you’re in a fire just hold your breath ;)We were told yesterday to cut working from the office to 50% of the time, its informal at the moment but it could get steped up further. It makes sense if you can do it easily although my firm is faily advanced with the technology to do it VC meetings and calls from lap tops etc.

Very true. So many people get colds and then are off work saying they have flu when really they had no such thing. Proper flu and you feel like total shit and are bed-bound for days and wiped out for weeks.Flu itself is classed as a “mild illness” but it’s still fucking horrid if you get it.

If someone says there's a £500 in cash at the bottom of the garden if you get out of bed to go and get it, and you're thinking "no way am I moving", then it might be flu.
Not quite correct mate. The young are more or less fine and zero fatalities under ten years of age.Problem is when people have a cold they got to work and end up passing it on to majority of people! This is a new flu which is easier to catch and and higher mortality mainly to the young and elderly..

I can play darts on my ownYou are right it wont work for firefighters - you need at least 2 to have a game of pool.
Yeah but those people then go visit their elderly parents or take their nan out shopping etc and pass it to them without even knowing as they don’t have the symptoms yet themselves. I’m sick of hearing “the young and healthy are ok” it’s just creating complacency amongst that demographic.
