My excuse on the figures thing is I’m on holiday, just got back to the room and packing now.

Just got the message about my client and thought banning all visitors was a tad overkill at this point and I’m not sure how helpful that will be.

Further action now taken by my company, no meetings where more than a dozen people are present and no non essential meetings. So almost everything not involving management because they're mega important, obviously.

Yet our main hq remains open, where a couple of hundred people work.... Go figure.

These Italian numbers are a bit of a worry. Why haven’t they stopped travel to and from Italy? Another 700 or so cases and 40 odd more deaths.

a week again there were less than 1000 and around 8 deaths. Now 197 deaths! Pretty high rate. Seems most of ours are coming from Italy too.

It's happening all over the place mate. I've had a number of meetings canned already because the customer (different ones) is banning all visitors. One customer is prohibiting any travel by staff between their own sites. This is only going escalate over the coming days.

Both Montenegro and the Czech Repulic have stopped flights from Italy.

Well it’s built into the screen but they’re stationary, you can’t take them home.

We spent a fortune on these state of the art things but I thought it was insanity at the time.

Well smoking is common but not overly so, I mean I don't know what the European mean number of smokers is so...
It's maybe down to the fact our population is old. We have a lot of elders and have few children.

My guess is they are only testing people with severe symptoms which would explain such a high rate. If true it also means that there are many, many, more cases undetected which kind of figures given the high numbers worldwide who appear to have caught it there.
