Just heard that 50% of cases in Italy have needed hospital treatment and 10% needing intensive care. Just think on those numbers for 1 moment.

People who could be saved are dying because if lack of ICU capacity, and (a) this has barely begun and (b) they have more facilities per capita than we do.

This is EASILY the biggest crisis this country has faced since WW2 and the fact some people cannot grasp or are in denial about this, is as dangerous as it is infuriating.

We are at 18%, I’ve just Googled it. It’s lower but still high enough to be very concerning

That is mad if true, I hadn’t seen or heard that.

The only mitigating factor is if there are mild cases not being reported, which no one can really know. Seems absolutely ridiculous to me though that our response can still be to do nothing in terms of social distancing when an entire European country is in lockdown and most others are stopping mass gatherings. I saw the press conference earlier, I do not get how the science isn’t saying “mitigate your risk now, not when you reach an arbitrary number when it’s too late”.

I agree we should stop fans going,stick all the games on tv and be done with it,i can see why the authorities are hesitating but we are an island,once here it is only going to get worse
