Ok just read, there is going to endless horror stories, some of which misleading and of course there’s going to be long term issues - but think it’s too early to panic too much on what so far is relatively few cases of those incidences - just have to focus on the here and now, death rates have peaked and infection rates are dropping in most countries - it’s the first hurdle of many.

Maybe just being optimistic but I’m predicting a really low toll week this week. Aside from Tuesdays figures.

I think last week's figures were about a 15-20% reduction in the week before. So on that trajectory - and as long as people abide by the distancing measures, by the time we've got to the end of this week, we should be seeing daily reported deaths across the week averaging around 540 deaths. Still awful numbers but moving in the right direction.

I would agree if ALL the press and broadcast mediah were not total shits who totally fail to deliver any form of intellectual rigour or honnesty:
- Zero analysis of the current situation.
- Zero cause and effect discussion.
- Zero discussion of alternatives.
- Zero balance.

Haha I think you need to stop reading about this virus, maybe stop coming on this thread? I did a few weeks back, my mood lifted considerably after I wasn't checking this thread 5-6 times day, out of sight out of mind and all that.

Perhaps just as well if any of the other organ attacks by CV turn out to be generally its legacy.
Heres one for others to dwell on. Are the stroke deaths some CV survivors suffer counted as CV or stroke deaths?

Yes it is worrying the more you learn. Anyone suggesting this is man made is classed as insane but it makes you wonder. Scientists playing around with the genetic make up of known viruses and either by accident or design it has created a monster that is now amongst us. As you say this time we really could be fucked.
