In Swansea
After you asked me to track it I have updated it every night I could for you in a post here including last night.

Wales not publishing every day this weekend. But they have published data today so there should be today.

Search my posts from last night.

Posted Swansea data then around 7.30 pm.

On Christmas Eve data Swansea was the NINTH most infected area in Wales with a Pop Score of 725. It was the only one in the top ten that was then falling. By 5% day to day.

Top was Merthyr Tydfil with a Pop score of 1311 and that was rising by 26% daily,

Bridgend at 1151 was also over 1000. And up 27%

Pop scores over 1000 are always going to be in the top ten worst. They are rare But much less rare right now.

316 all settings deaths.~

30, 501 cases

25, 619 of those from England.

The rest from Wales and Scotland only - data reported eatrlier this afternoon.

N Ireland no data today.

Though testing is not going to be updated until Tuesday I expect I think the numbers from elsewhere strongly infer many fewer tests will have occurred in England than usual.

So the 5700 fall in England cases will be a bit misleading.

Testing by age range is published by the nations I often post the Northern Ireland split in my tables here to track the rise or fall of the over 60s. And Ayrshire has posted the Scottish data too many days.

Though it is not defined outside 20 year bands usually - ie 0 - 19, 20 - 39 etc

I haven't posted them in a while but will do so again over the next few days just to get a picture of how things are. @MillionMilesAway. I'll hang off for now as data is a bit all over the place as HP has pointed out, with unusually low test numbers and unusually high % positive figures, but over next few days things should hopefully sort itself out.

They're available https://www.travellingtabby.com/scotland-coronavirus-tracker/ here, that's where I get the data from. The site is legit and has been singled out for praise I believe from Devi Sridhar and possibly even the Scottish government for the work behind it.

Should be quite obvious quickly, I’d expect almost all care home residents to be done by mid January, so the reduction in deaths in that environment should be detectable by the end of January
Why?
Yougov reckons it takes several weeks to be effective after the second dose.

Disappointing Regional Scoreboard.

Many regions - even in the south - down.

The North West up significantly - despite a big fall in case numbers across Emgland.

Not looking promising.

Doesn't surprise me.
Have you seen the reports on the Trafford centre and the thousands of people descending on it?
Absolute muppets the lot of them, why is it being allowed?

REGIONAL SCOREBPOARD

LONDON 9719 - UP from 8516

EAST 3367 - DOWN a lot from 5042.

SOUTH EAST 5012 - DOWN a lot from 7149

They will be the first to complain when TIer 4 or whatever they call it is imposed next week.

Too late as usual.

And as I have been noting in past few days on the GM scoreboard given the huge rise of cases in Trafford - from best borough in GM 2 weeks ago to one of the worst - and Stockport not that far behind - the shopping centre and Christmas free for all was looking an obvious factor. Given both are very popular in December.

I'm pretty certain that that's not true. It's referring to the Pfizer one, given it's the only one in use, and it's been widely shared that it starts to work after ten days.

I will do it now, cheers. Been in work for 8 days over xmas so havent kept up. Thanks again

REGIONAL SCOREBOARD MIDLANDS AND NORTH

MIDLANDS 1254 - DOWN big from 2551

NORTH EAST 583 - DOWN from 805

YORKSHIRE 1184 - DOWN from 1336

But unfortunately NORTH WEST 2199 - UP from 1618.

Not looking good to see such a rise on a day when testing numbers fell so much.

A lot of the people who visit the Trafford Centre sales aren’t from Manchester. I haven’t been to the Boxing Day sales for a couple of years but I could tell from the accents that a lot of the people trying to grab bargains were from West Yorkshire.

Most place I've seen say about 7 days after the final dose. They also say it starts building up about 7 days after the first dose.

GM SCOREBOARD

717 - up from 584 but a lower rise than usual (just 133) from the NW one of 581.

As a result the % of GM in the NW number fell again to just 33%.

Bad day again for Stockport - struggling a lot and was only beaten by Manchester today. And not by much either.

Likely will be over 200 Pop Score again now and is climbing faster than any GM borough right now.

Trafford not quite as bad but also still running high for there.

Bury and Bolton up a lot too.

Yet Oldham, Rochdale and Salford doing spectacularly well. All down to some of lowest numbers in ages.

Why this disparity is a question someone needs to be asking.

GM versus the rest of the NW.

Those angry that Everton will get a crowd v City tomorrow....

Yet again - now about 8 days like this - Liverpool performed worse than Manchester.

Today not only did it have a higher Pop Score rise (which is happening often now) but it also had more actual cases than Manchester despite a lower population. This is the third time this has happened in past week or so too.

The difference in tiers is now looking as silly as seemed likely when they did it.

And easily predictable what would follow. As I did predict in here as it was obvious from all the other times this has happened with this crazy tiers structure

Most place I've seen say about 7 days after the final dose. They also say it starts building up about 7 days after the first dose.

You can see the efficacy here, looks very good from about 10 days post first dose.

The published efficacy figures were taken only after a few days ( can't remember how many, maybe 14?) post second dose. As per all phase III trials, that will have been agreed in advance of the regulator (prevents post hoc cherry picking of analysis).

When the blue line and red line diverge, that's the difference between active and placebo.
