We decided to come to Lanzarote last weekend, cases here are low. unlikely to change until the next review although like everything in life there is a risk and this is one we were prepared to take.

The clowns in charge of the country decided to magically make up another travel restriction 2 weeks ago for travel ex France.
Basically their is some prevalence of the Beta variant (south africa) in France although its very minimal.
So irrespective of if you have had 1, 2 or 98 jabs if you've been in France you have to quarantine when you get back.
Having read up on this variant some people think our govt have again fucked up as their is barely any prevalence of it in France but more of it in French Polynesia, some accusation that they have got the 2 mixed up.
Their is now talk that Spain could be next on the chopping board for Amber plus, it will be confirmed next week whether it is or isn't.
And yes I totally agree with you on the green issue and have long believed that the govt is intentionally making things awkward, maybe even impossible for people in order to meet their green emission targets.
