An unofficial category of which France is currently the only country on it( Greece and Spain are muted to replace it)
France are on it mainly due to a variant on the island of Reunion which lies in the Indian Ocean.
I think once the summer ends and MPs return we will see a lot of changes.

Indeed. Also, apparently this guy has a good record of predicting what will change when and he seems to think that Spain (and Greece) won't change on the next update.

Shapps is utterly useless, the main prevalence of Beta is in French Polynesia an island nowhere near fucking France.
No way France should have different rules, it's as if he has no grasp of Geography. Beyond incompetent!

Yes. I made the point yesterday and also that Las Reunion itself - the reason for the amber-plus on France - is itself only amber. Probably because nobody from the UK would go there, but it still looks very odd.

It's the same with Canary Islands / Spain. Tenerife is over 1200 miles from Madrid yet they group them together.
Just seems the goverment don't know what they are doing and ministers seem to be consistently contradicting themselves on this issue & going back on their word that 2 vaccines mean freedom. They won't get my vote ever again
